Part II – RequirementsRationale of the Programme Kenya has a long term strategic development plan under Vision 2030 which recognizes the role of Applied Sciences in economic development. Knowledge in Actuarial science is a key enabler for implementation of the strategies and flagship projects towards fulfilling vision 2030. Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science comes to provide financial solution providers and data analysts who will do the job with the appropriate actuarial foundation. The market is still in need of practical actuarial scientists who can combine statistical programming and ICT skills in solving financial problems. The programme is intended to provide students with a wide range of knowledge and skills required by industry at undergraduate level in addition to preparing them for professional training in the area of actuarial sciences. Programme Specific Admission Requirements Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C+ in both Mathematics and English or Kiswahili, OR
