The Directorate of Alumni Services, Career Services and International Students (DACSIS) is a directorate under the Academic Affairs division of the Co-operative University of Kenya. The functions of the directorate can be summarized into: strengthening the alumni function, providing career services to students and the management of international students’ affairs in the University.
‘To be a directorate of global excellence in the coordination of alumni affairs,discharge of career services and the attraction of international students.
‘The directorate is driven by the cognizance of the fact that alumni affairs, career services and international students are interrelated and are a critical catalyst for the University to attain its overall vision and objectives .
‘To provide a link between the University and its alumni, coordinate the affairs of the alumni association, provide optimal career services to both present and past students and attract international students to the university for both short term and long term programs with the aim of adding value to the University in the pursuit of its vision and objectives.
The mandate of the Alumni and international student’s office is as follows:
To establish a vibrant alumni association which adds value to the University.
To effectively co-ordinate the affairs of the University’s alumni association in association with the officers in place.
To act as a link between the University and the alumni association.
To organize and/or participate in exhibitions and any other such events to attract students into the University.
