The University is facilitating students and staff to acquire quality laptops at a subsidized rate of Ksh. 43,500/=. This will ensure a 1:1 student and staff laptop ratio.
The terms of reference for the Student Laptop program, will be as follows
- The student shall be required to cater for the payment of the laptop in two installments as indicated below
- First installment of KES 23,500 (twenty three thousand, five hundred Kenya shillings) at the beginning of the first semester (Jan 2014) for new students or the commencement of semester for continuing students who opt into the program.
- Second installment of KES 20,000 (twenty thousand Kenya shillings) at the beginning of the second semester for all students enrolled in the students’ laptop program.
- Staff should liaise with HR on the terms.
This notice is therefore to kindly request all students and staff to fill and return the student/staff laptop program registration form available at the ICT-Office (main Campus) and the Directors Office (Town Campus, Meru Campus and Mombasa Campus) in order to join the program.
The deadline for registration is January 30th, 2014
