VARSITY’S STUDENTS’ LEADERS ON A 3-DAY INTENSIVE TRAINING
Prof. Douglas Shitanda, the Principal CUCK has challenged the students’ leaders of CUCK to live to values of moral character, integrity, and commitment, “Being a leader is not about the title you carry or to get the little that you may come your way. You have been called to serve; to be your brother’s keeper; to make other people great; to build other people; to love the people you lead; to put a smile on their faces; to ensure they have a better tomorrow. I challenge you to love the students of CUCK; I challenge you to love CUCK more than ever before. Make CUCK a great University! And this I am certain you can!” Said Prof. Shitanda
Accompanied by the CUCK’s Deputy Principal Academic Affairs Prof. Kamau Ngamau, and Deputy Principal Finance Planning and Administration Prof. Esther Magiri, he spoke while opening a 3-day Leadership Skills’ Training for the University College’s Students’ Governing Council and Congressmen at Jumuia Resorts, Limuru facilitated by the International Leadership Foundation for CUCK’s Students’ Leaders’ Union.
Some of the facilitators for the 3-day intensive training include Prof. Peter Kibas, a Professor of Entrepreneurship and the Vice Chancellor Presbyterian University of East Africa, Dr. Catherine Getao, Kenya’s ICT secretary, Ministry Of Information and Communication in Kenya; Mr. John Ng’ang’a a Consultant , Renowned Speaker and author of Several Books On Leadership; Timothy Mwangi, a PhD graduate of the Regent University, USA; Miriam Gachago a Social Development Consultant and formerly the Director of Co-operative College of Kenya among others. The 3-day training commenced on the morning of 21st July, 2016 and ends on the evening of 23rd July, 2016.
