In 2005 Bachelor of co-operative business was introduced in collaboration with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). Currently The Co-operative University of Kenya – Nairobi CBD campus is located at the 6th and 7th Floor, 10th floor and 11th floor of Ufundi Co-op Plaza at the Junction of Moi Avenue and Moktar Dadar Street, next to Jeevan Jee Gardens. The campus is located 20km from main campus which is at Karen.
The goal of the Campus is to provide quality education training and research in various business ﬁelds with particular emphasis to the Co-operative Sector though the development and offering of relevant academic programmes. Nairobi campus currently is offering accredited programmes from the School of Co-operatives and community development (SCCD) and school of Business and Economics (SBE). They include: Masters in Co-operative Management, Masters in Business Administration, Bachelors of Co-operative Business, Bachelor of Science in Disaster Risk Management & Sustainable Development, Bachelors of Commerce, Diploma in Co-operative Management, Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management, Certificate in Co-operative Management, Certificate in Business Management and Certificate in Purchasing and Supplies. These programmes have been developed by the various schools and have gone through all the levels of approval. Our intakes are in January, May and September each year. All programmes are offered on both full time basis (day) and part-time (evening/weekend). After charter acquisition to elevate CUK to a fully-fledged University, The senate meeting of 7th March 2017 ratified the continuity of Nairobi CBD Campus a decision which was upheld by the council. Other benefits of enrolling at Nairobi CBD campus include: Competent and committed Lecturers, Well stocked Library, Free Wi-Fi, E-resource, Extra-curricular activities and more importantly we are Centrally Located within the CBD.
The recreational facilities are leased from The Kenya Railway club. Indoor games like chess; Darts, Table Tennis, Scrabble, Mono poly are available at the campus. No classes are scheduled on Wednesday afternoon to allow students to participate in games. On Friday afternoon the students are allowed time to participate in various clubs and religious activities like the Christian Union.
