Prof. Kamau Ngamau – Deputy Principal AA

Prof. Kamau Ngamau has been appointed the Deputy Principal Academic Affairs of The Co-operative University College of Kenya. His appointment by Education CS Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi comes a few months after the appointment of the Varsity’s substantive Principal Prof. Douglas Shitanda.

Until his appointment at The Co-operative University College of Kenya, Prof. Ngamau was a Professor at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Prof. Ngamau has expansive experience in higher education matters and university administration and teaching spanning over 22 years and has served as Chairman, Horticulture Department, Director Board of Postgraduate Studies and Dean Faculty of Agriculture at JKUAT and has risen from Teaching Assistant to Professor of Horticulture. He has also supervised many postgraduate students and published widely.

Prof. Ngamau holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Horticulture from University of Nairobi, a 2nd Master’s degree in Organizational Development from the United States International University (USIU), Nairobi. He has Doctor of Philosophy in Horticulture from the University of Hannover in Germany.

He joins The Co-operative University College of Kenya at the most opportune time when the institution is gearing towards attaining a charter to be fully fledged University.
