The Co-operative University of Kenya joined the Kenyan Co-operative Movement in marking this year’s International Day of Co-operatives at the Kenya’s capital, Nairobi. The event which brought together the vast movement was preceded by a series of events included the Co-operatives Environmental day, sporting activities, Ushirika blood donation among others. The Co-operative University of Kenya hosted a 2-day capacity building workshop dubbed CAK-DGRV cooperation capacity building workshop for the entire co-operative movement in Kenya through their representatives in May, 2017. The purpose and objective of the workshop was to understand the concepts gamification and e-learning and how to apply both in testing of knowledge in an exciting way, based on multiple choice questions. The Co-operative University of Kenya on Saturday 13th May, 2017 joined thousands of Kenya in participating in the 2017 edition of the Heart Run of the Karen Hospital, Nairobi at Uhuru gardens. The team of staff and students was led by the University’s communication’s office. The University participates in this annual event as part of its corporate social responsibility.
