MASTER OF SCIENCE IN STATISTICAL COMPUTING
Rationale of the Programme
The need for the programme was verified by carrying out a survey from consumers and
potential consumers who interact with current graduates. The sampled respondents
indicated that there is a clear need for Statistical Computing experts, for research,
consultancy and other sectors of the economy. The suggestions which were considered
when compiling the final document included; Data mining, data warehousing, data
modeling Link between theory and practical scenarios, Analysis of data both qualitative
and quantitative, Predictive Data Analysis and Big Data Analytics.
